I had them for about 7 years ; they were little rubber ducks with clear ear buds and a long white cord.
Our journey over the past 7 years was unforgettable.
We shared so many memories that I will never forget.
They stuck by me through thick and thin.
They always kept going, even after taking multiple beatings.
Kept going when they lost both earbuds or even had to share one at one point.
Then just last week my poor right headphone duck lost his brother.
The cords inside him disconnected and he fell off somewhere along our journey.
My right headphone duck, no matter how depressed he was about that kept going.
Kept going until now. He too had the cords inside him disconnect.
I suppose it was a disease that ran through the family.
Nevertheless, I will always love them, and cherish our times we had together.
When we first met I was just a young lass, now i've grown into a woman (not really).
I just want you two to know that you helped me through the years, you helped me grow up.
I know it isn't thanksgiving anymore, but I want to give thanks to my headphones.
Maybe one day i'll find your cousins, or mother and father.
